KLOBUCHAR vs ?

Sen. Amy Klobuchar will get the DFL endorsement this weekend for Governor, and we’ll learn her Lt. Gov. pick in the coming days. She has been one of the strongest DFL candidates statewide since she ran statewide in 2006. She has frustrated Republicans and been protested by DFLers including during her 2020 run for President.

There will likely be some objections to Klobuchar at the DFL convention, but she won’t have a primary, and she will run hard. She is carrying baggage that the Walz administration has created as the gubernatorial candidate, but she will work to shed it quickly.

The biggest test for Republicans starts this weekend. Will they nominate someone who can provide a future vision of Minnesota that competes with Klobuchar?
