HONOR FLIGHTS: Via Park Rapids Enterprise, VERBATIM: “Two flights were packed with veterans from eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota to experience the U.S. capital. Local vets Michael Hafner, Gary Rehborg and Dennis Aanenson were aboard. The three-day trip was at no cost to the vets. Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN, a nonprofit organization, organizes the excursion each spring and fall. The program is funded through corporate and individual donations. The whirlwind tour took vets to monuments made in their honor.
